I am enjoying it as a beginner and the price was definitely worth it. It's 10-20lbs heavier than more expensive boards. For myself, a cart is needed.
Pros
It's a good size and the price was right
Cons
Too heavy for the average person to pick up and head for the beach
Usage
Exercise and touring the lake.

Pelican International's Flow 10.6 is a durable, inexpensive, and stable SUP, and it will provide hours of affordable enjoyment for paddlers of any age. Here in Canada, this product is sold by Canadian Tire as a package (w/ a paddle), so grab your PFD and you're ready to rip. This board is a little heavy as SUPs go, tipping the scales at just south of 50 lbs., but it's durability, price point, and user-friendly nature make it a smart buy. You'll love the fact that kids or newbies can drag this board around without worry of damaging the hull or fin.
Pros
1) Easy to use.
2) Good price.
3) Durable.
Cons
A little heavy.*
* Multiple carry handles mean two people can carry this SUP when needed.
Usage
Recreational use at the beach and during family camping trips.

This is a great board for paddling around our lake. Kids have enjoyed using it also.
Pros
Inexpensive
Cons
The black rubber mat is staining feet and legs. Can't figure out what is causing it. Would like to know if there is a product we can use, so the black stops coming off on everything!!
Usage
Recreational, exercise, kids

Enjoyed using the pelican flow 106 stand up paddle board this summer. I'm 57 years old and found it a good basic board for use on calm water such as the quarry. Great fun trying yoga on this board!
Pros
A good stable board which is great for yoga.
Cons
Although my husband could carry it, I found it too heavy to carry.

I rented one to float the river, and I loved it! I had a great time messing around on it and wish that I had one of my own. I just don't have the money for one right now...
Pros
I loved how easily moverable it was. I also really like that when I fell off it was super easy to get back on.
Cons
I don't like the price tag of it.
Usage
I use it to exercise, and sometimes yoga.

Bought this board about 2 months ago I'm new to paddle boarding I average about 2 times a week paddleboarding it's paid for itself already compared to renting. The price was great on sale for $499 would have preferred a better quality one would had to have waited longer to buy. It's abit on the bulky side but it goes pretty good. It tracks pretty good it weights about 50lbs but I'm getting used to it. I go out in open water you get tossed around in wavy water but it makes it more fun. I love paddle boarding being 55 yrs old I guess I will have to get a lighter board in time. I would recommend this board for the price and it's not a budget breaker. I plan on paddling as I get older and into my retirement years for exercise weather it's this board or a newer one
Pros
Price is right it balances well and tracks good.
Cons
Bulky and on the heavier side but manageable.
Usage
I use it for exercise and touring.

I am a 60 something woman just getting into SUPing, bought this Pelican model for my first attempts. Board is great for the rough Lake Erie waters. Non skid platform is a great feature. I do need assistance from my husband to transport it as it is 50 lbs. plus. Bought this on sale at Costco, has an adaption for kayaking. Love it, just waiting for some decent weather!
Pros
Great balancing and very durable
Cons
Heavy, need assistance to transport
Usage
Just going up and down Lake Erie, Amherstburg, ON

Submitted by:

A great board for starters as its width accommodates those learning to balance on the water, easy to store/load/unload and easy to maneuver in the water.. Found this at Dunham's Sports with a coupon. This is the first board I've owned and so far happy with it. Have been using it for about a month now in the cooler springtime water.
Pros
Easy to load/unload and store by myself. I am on the shorter side and not a lot of upper-body strength. I am able to carry this above my head. We have a removable sport rack on my car with J-hooks/racks; We are able to fit our small kayak on the racks and the board is just narrow enough to lay flat on the side of the rack without the J racks, and we were able to tie it down with the (6'?) straps that came with it. My almost-6-year-old likes to sit/lie on the front of the board while I paddle. I'm on the bulkier side but even with the 2 of us on the board we still stay well above the water. Even though it's narrow enough to fit doubled with a kayak on our roof rack on the car, it's also WIDE enough for maneuvering doing yoga while on the water. In addition to tying across the board onto the rack we tied it down in the front and back (under front hood and through trunk). We just latched the S-hooks of the straps onto the front and back handles and had no problem with the board coming loose, moving around, or catching too much wind from underneath when traveling on 4-lane highways. Even though it's not technically designed for serious racing I can get some pretty good momentum with not too much effort (part of which just comes from paddling correctly---but I think the optional removable fin is quite necessary if this is what you're going to do); The tracking on the bottom also seems to help keep the board from moving all over the place when going in a specific direction or trying to pick up speed.
Cons
I just have short arms, so carrying it by my side is doable but not as easy when you have to transport longer distances from your vehicle to the water. There is only one place to store stuff, under the bungee cords in front. But this is my only complaint, and doesn't affect me enough to be a deal-breaker.
Usage
Currently using this for sup yoga, flat water paddling both for scenic/leisure as well as recreational racing. Have been using on a couple different lakes as well as a small winding river that varies greatly in depth.

I have had my board for 2 years. Very easy to ride and rugged. Durable and dependable. Nothing fancy but gets the job done. My dog enjoys riding with me around the lake. Since it is so durable I don't have to worry about her causing ant damage.
Pros

Cons

I love Paddle Boarding on my Pelican International. I loved it since the first time I got up on it. The most relaxing exercise I have ever done. I love the view from up there. Its so different then any other view. I can be paddle boarding for hours and not even realize it. I am most happy when I am on my board. This is paradise for me. I wish I could SUP every day of my life. That is my goal.
Pros
I love that durability of this board. It is very tough. I love the compfort of the deck. I love the durability of the fin. Its a good quality board. I love the weight capacity. I love that I can attach a seat and I have a second paddle so I can turn this SUP into a sit on top kyak. I love that it can carry water bottles and floatation devices. It is easy to care for and keep clean. It is very easy to maneuver and paddle with. I love the size of it beacuse I can do yoga easily and bring my kid and dog with me for a paddle too.
Cons
It is very heavy which makes it hard to carry around and get it on the roof rack alone.
Usage
I use this SUP for fun. I use it for exercise. I use it for touring around. I tried surfing with it but the waves are not big enough in my area. I also use it for Yoga.

this is a great touring paddle board, bought 2 for myself and my wife , use it many times in the intercoastal waters of central Florida, this is a great board if you are just getting started , very stable , have had other paddlers with more expensive boards come to me and comment about how nice my board is and well it handles choppy water, would definitely recommend this board for someone on a budget and looking for a reliable board
Pros
very stable in calm and mild choppy waters, sits up high on the water, carrying handles are great as well as the tie downs for gear
Cons
only con I have is it is a little on heavy side(39 to 45 lbs) to carry, but once in water it is very easy to manuever
Usage
touring / exercise

I borrowed this board, so this review is based on 1 use on a lake. The board didn't track well, and was pretty slow. I think if you want a board for kids to play on this is perfect. But my perception is if you are looking for a board to see if you like to paddleboard, this board wont push you into the sport.
Besides a lake toy for kids, it might be a decent board to use downstream on a slow moving river.
Pros
inexpensive
Cons
slow

Great board for those looking for a super tough SUP for lake, flat water, and light river use.
Pros
Super stable, maneuverable, durable (tough as a kayak) can't ding it, lots of built in handles and deck lashing, rubber fin bends, not breaks, if you hit a rock. super affordable.
Cons
Some say it's heavy at 48 pounds, but I don't think it's hard to handle. The handles make it really easy to carry and car-top.
Usage
lake/flat water, Interpretive tours.

You get what you pay for. This board feels cheap and flimsy. It's like a hollow plastic kayak without the seat. That tiny flexible fin is a joke. This thing does not handle well and it won't go straight; it's very wobbly, but it's wide, so you won't fall. I rented this board for one hour and it was the worst paddling experience!
Pros
very cheap
Cons
poor maneuverability, unstable, extremely slow
Usage

What a great board! Especially for beginners! This was a surprise 60th birthday present (I just mentioned I would like to try it some day.) I had never been on one and stood up on it from the dock. After just a short time I was confident to adjust my feet position plus drop to my knees to make sure I could get back up. It was even easier than I thought it would be. The storage rigging is nice for taking a picnic lunch or anything in a waterproof container. I would highly recommend this board even though it is a bit on the heavy side for one person (older) to manage. Have fun and enjoy! :) Oh, and it's a great upper body workout...keep those abs tight and your core will strengthen! Would buy again and recommend!
Pros
Price is right! Very stable! Great for beginners!
Seems to track well and respond quickly.
Versatile, but have not used with a seat...yet.
Deck rigging for storing.
Comfortable to kneel or sit if you tire of standing.
Padded deck (see cons also)
Amazing blazing color!
Cons
Heavy to haul up on dock for me (husband does fine with it)/cumbersome, but hey, it's big!
Padding isn't soft but have only been on 2 boards, this one and another that was smoother; was told you just get used to it or wear water shoes.
It would have gotten 5 stars if it was a bit lighter and the padding was smoother.
Usage
Touring on lakes and ponds, exercise, enjoying the outdoors, and family fun!

I love the versatility of it...you can stand up, sit and use it as a kayak or just lie on it and float. We are have a blast with them!! I did by some wheels to make it easier to get them around.
Pros
Great price, easy to use. The mat makes it comfortable to use. Also very fun.
Cons

I bought this as my first paddle board to see if it was something I would like. I have had it for almost a year and really like it. I use it on ponds and lakes in both calm and choppy water. It is very stable and easy to stand up on.
Pros
Large padded area to stand on.
Bungee cords for storage.
Stable enough to take my dog along.
Cons
It's a bit heavy and cumbersome to carry long distances, but not too bad if you don't have to carry it far.
Usage
I use it for exercise and touring around local lakes.

Easy to sit down and kneel while paddling. I wobbled a lot and never felt stable while standing. This is probably a better board for intermediate paddlers.
Pros

Cons

I am very happy with this board. I have added a snap in kayak seat and with it on I can sit down and paddle with my kayak paddle then switch to kneeling down, then grab the stand up paddle from the deck rigging and stand up paddle...all without removing the seat! I like the versatility. It is pretty stable and tracks pretty well too. I like the ram-x material, seems like it is very durable. I've taken it out twice so far and no scratches so I don't need to baby it.
Pros
versatility, durability, color, price,4 handles and the center carry handle seems plenty deep
Cons

Usage

I purchased this board, being a beginner to stand up paddle boarding. I found that the board is very stable and navigates both flat and choppy water very well. I am a larger guy (225 lbs) and this is the only board I could find locally that would accommodate my weight. This allows me to tour our lake and enjoy our summer months so much more.
Pros
It's easy to get on the board and you can also purchase a snap in seat to use it as a kayak if need be.
Cons
The board is heavy and awkward to carry but if the finger grooves were a little bit deeper it would probably be easier to carry around.
Usage
Flat water, for exercise and leisure tours around the lake. Very good core workout.

Low Cost entry product, I have used this board several time in on flat and choppy. It is stable and paddles okay, tracking is okay but not great but that is combination of skeg size and design. We also use it for my son that is 8 yrs old to play with in waves that are up to 3 ft he like to try and surf it and also see how far he can go on the board before getting tossed. My wife is also able to paddle the board and stand on it with no problem.
Pros
Like the price, durablity, and the fact my son can use it and i don't worry about getting damaged as i would with a higher end product
Cons
not a great tracking board, and a little slow.
Usage
touring lakes and rivers, and a platform for my son to play around with in the waves or as a swim platform in a lake
