Tips for Buying an Inflatable Kayak

There are tons of things to consider when researching or buying your inflatable kayak. Before you start shopping solely based on price, you first need to consider:

  • How, Where and With Whom you plan to paddle with?
  • How do you plan to transport your inflatable kayak? Make sure that the packed dimensions and weight are suitable for your transportation method.
  • Number of Seats - solo, tandem, or 3+ paddlers? Some inflatables can be converted from solo to tandem and afford the optional flexibility.
  • Read these inflatable kayak reviews - especially with inflatables, you'll get a sense for the durability, ease of inflation/transport, and types of waters that each boat has been tested on.
