Checks all the boxes for me.…
Checks all the boxes for me. Light weight, great elevated seat, 4 rod holders, super stable, great customer service. I found mine used at a great price which made it even better but I would have paid full price for it. May not be the fastest or track the best but for inland fishing,I can throw it in the truck and go. Love it!!!
This is my 2nd season with…
Love this kayak! Very stable…
Amazing at fist thought I was…
Love my Vibe! Went back and…
Wanted a manageable kayak…
Wanted a manageable kayak that I could take anywhere, lakes, rivers, surf or even big creeks. The Yellowfin 100 was the only kayak that had a normal seat versus a pad (at least when I bought it 2 years ago). The 10' length and weight is easier to cartop vs any of the 12' ones. I liked everything I saw and read. Bought it direct (no dealers) and saved $$ on their fall sale. Good platform for fishing for anyone new to kayaking and has everything you need to get started. The hero seat is comfortable and supports my back. It makes a great camp chair It's very stable on the water, easy to maneuver, but it's slow. Doesn't track as well as what I read and saw online. I do not like reaching behind the seat to store the paddle At this price, I'm able to fix and customize at will. Will add a rudder to improve tracking, replaced the side handles to ones with a my paddle keep and added a leash to each rod holder. They fixed and improved the placements of things in the new models that includes gear tracks, better hatches, real bow/stern handles and is rudder ready (on the 120).
The Yellowfin 100 has…
The Yellowfin 100 has everything I needed to hit my favorite fishing hole without needing any add-ons. I wanted a fishing kayak with a nice seat and I can stand to stretch my legs while fishing, the yellowfin met my needs.
The only thing of concern is the sharp (90 degrees) edges along the bottom of the sides. Although this make the yellowfin more stable, its harder to find a j-rack carrier that can safely carry it.
Once I get to take this out on the water I'll update on its performance.
Awesome platform for fishing…
Awesome platform for fishing that's easy to transport. The hero seat is very comfortable and is definitely a big selling point. Great stability on the water and easy to maneuver, but it is a bit slow. Might not be the best choice if you plan to paddle long distance. Hard to beat the features/price compared to other 10 foot fishing kayaks on the market.
