I recently purchased a Gearlab Kalleq paddle and felt that I had better get the bag to go with it in order to protect my "investment". I was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality and design of this bag. Each half of the paddle blade has its own compartment, and the bag is padded to provide extra protection. The bag also has a foldover top that seals with a clip, very similar to the top of a dry bag. The extra long, wide strap on the bag makes it easy to carry. All in all, a terrific bag.

The perfect companion for my Akiak paddle! I love how the divider in the bag keeps the paddles separate so they don't scratch on each other. The shoulder strap allows me to carry the kayak without having to worry about the placement of my paddle. Definitely worth the purchase if you're getting a paddle through Gearlab!

Excellent quality fits my GL…

Excellent quality fits my GL paddle perfectly, as one would expect. Well balanced when slung over shoulder. I chose this over the 2nn Generation bag, which may offer more protection but is less easy to store in a Trak 2.0 kayak when in the water.

This is a well constructed Paddle Bag; It is easily adjustable length, by a strap. Note; I previously rated it a 4/5 Stars, because I did not know the Strap could be used to change Bag Length. Once I so how easy this worked, I needed to revise upwards my rating. All the gear was well packaged when it was shipped.

Excellent paddle bag - tough material, lightweight, and an attractive design. Rock solid closure, and a handy carrying strap. Gutted I didn't order a double one instead of a single.

We now own 3 Gearlab…

We now own 3 Gearlab paddles, 2 Akiaks and 1 Kalleq and for each paddle I have a Gearlab paddle bag. This is an excellent and longlasting product. I would say, a necessity for such a nice paddle. It is well made and each paddle half has its own compartiment. I purchased 2 of them almost 5 years ago and they still look like new. Highly recommended !

A simple yet solid paddle bag! It nicely protects the entirety of your paddle. I've flown around North America with this bag in my checked luggage and my paddles have yet to scratch or damage! The simplicity of it is very nice, and considerably inexpensive for such protection for your expensive paddles.
