I purchased a Tarpon 140 October 28, 2024. I paddled 4.01 miles in 87 minutes the first time out. I found the seat system to be extremely comfortable. I like the ability to adjust the back rest. The storage is good and I really like the loops just inside the hatches to attach your dry bag to. The rear tank well is very roomy and has a good bungee system set up. It handles nicely and balance is great. I tested another Tarpon 140 the week before purchasing mine. On the test we did a leisurely paddle of 3.87 miles in 2 1/2 hours. I purchased this kayak to fish on and for ease of entry/exit. It paddles & tracks well.

I purchased this 2 weeks ago! I am 5' 11" and weight 234 lbs. I also have a leg that doesn't straighten all the way. The Carolina 14 is roomy and easy for me to get in and out. I have been using ADA ramps and have no issues with launching and returning using this kayak. I have been out for a short 1/2 hour paddle and a hour paddle. I find this boat comfortable and easy to paddle. I purchased this kayak for the leg room and ability to be able to shift my bad leg as need. I have a Captiva and it is not roomy enough anymore due to my bad leg.
