I bought it from a friend…
I bought it from a friend and this thing is not easy to use. I’ve successfully paddle boarded before so it’s not completely user error. This board is narrower than other boards and it isn’t sealed against water so it absorbs some of it which means it doesn’t properly float above water. For these reasons it’s extremely difficult to stand up on it for any length of time. I have sat on it and paddled around and while that is enjoyable, it’s not exactly what I wanted.
I bought this used on…
Well me and my 3 friends…
Well me and my 3 friends tried to ride this same model for at least an hour. We are all in our early 30s and none of us could stay atop of it. I guess we suck. And didn't know it was for kids until just now. But I'll never forget this day. Thank you.
We love this SUP! It is…
We love this SUP! It is ideal for our children on a calm lake. We are starting our third summer with this lightweight, durable, easy to use, and kid-friendly SUP. Our small adults are unable to use this SUP due sinking but we don't care!
Easy to use
I got this as a gift and I've only been paddle boarding once before this. I decided to try it out at the lake near my house. At first I went on my knees and it was a little shaker probably because I don't have the best balance. Then when I stood up it went underwater a little bit but I was still able to use it just fine. I'm 145 lbs by the way. I'd say this board is better for kids who are just learning or adults under 130 lbs.
On sale steal
My daughter bought me 2 of these boards at Walmart for 74$ a piece, we took them to our local lake and spent a few hours trying to stand up and paddle I am 5'10" 185lbs and was able to get up after trying several techniques. My daughter had no problem either. It is a great workout and challenge I turned 55 the day we tried these out. I had seen these for ale for 200 bones, but resisted! They were worth it. Probably not for someone who has no athetisism or tenacity, as the bad reviews attest. Can't wait to try out at the beach as a surfboard, downside to this board package paddles don't float, both of our sunk to the bottom, which ended my most memorable birthday EVER!
I have never reviewed anything, but I have to share that I LOVE THIS BOARD!
I cruise up and down the river with this board. I am 6' 165lbs. This is not a beginner board. You need practice and a good amount of athleticism. Once you practice and learn how to handle the board it is great. This is the best purchase I have had in 5 years. I read the comments about the board and think they are unfair. Standing on the board is not easy at the beginning it takes practice. The negative comments probably come from frustration. I loved the challenge of learning to SUP on this board.
Poor and not rated correctly
This does not hold up for adults and the weight limit stated is not correct. Our grandson who weighs 110 does fine..anything over...well it goes underwater!!
The fins are very difficult to install.
Very disappointed with this...will use it as a float...not the paddleboard it is suppose to be!
Impossible and Disappointing with a capital D!
Bought this board realizing for the price not to expect longevity or performance in less than tranquil water but since we wanted to use them for a week on a quiet lake with little to no wake we thought they'd be perfect. We couldn't have been more wrong as we never even had the opportunity to leave the dock. We have rented SUPs in the past so do realize there is skill, practice and balance that come in to play but this board sinks the moment you put your knees on it. It dives, wobbles and rolls never giving you the opportunity to engage your core to balance. SHAME on the manufacturer for marketing this to adults with up to 200lb use, (we are all well below that). The limit is no where near accurate and even then I imagine a child under 80lb would still have incredible difficulty to stay atop for any length of time. It's an absolute waste of material and ruined what was suppose to be a fun lake trip.
Worst purchase ever
If it was an option it would get zero stars , this can't even be considered a stand up paddle board because if you're over 80lbs you'll never make it off your knees . So cheaply made , incredibly unstable , barely floats . Do not buy this , and if you did don't even bother putting it in the water just turn around right now and take it back ..to late for that ? Lost your receipt like I did ? Use it to hold drinks in the pool like a floating table , use it for fire starter, use it as a spoiler for your sweet Honda civic, literally do anything with it except try and use it as a SUPB . Sportsstuff you should be ashamed of yourselves for selling such a piece of junk.
