My experience is the( positive), kayak is excellent for small river float trips and windy lakes,as kayak cuts thru wind very quickly ,light weight -1or 2 people can lift easy for walking it thru the shallow parts of river, stream ,ect...plenty of storage space.(negative),will need to be modified with school type plastic seats as I have purchased for mine.the fact that a person's legs are high enough to put all stress on your back makes for uncomfortable ride as seat pads ( included),slide down your back and put strain on a person's back.used twice so far, once with friend ,other with my son, both complained of back problems with kayak, including myself.now that seat backs are installed ( riveted on,ha ha,hee hee).kayak is 100% better,.I love it.

I bought this kayak a couple years ago.very nice looking and like the storage compartments.but overall it needs modified.the kayak needs better backrest.the originals slide down.leaving your back hurting.as your feet are up .same as sitting in chair with feet up.but there is no backrest.so I gave it a 2 out of 5.im going to rivet a plastic chair back around the seats.doing this I will give kayak a 5 star rating.so people with bad back.this kayak is not for you.

You have to deal this kayak…

You have to deal this kayak before you use it. It will leak badly if you do not. Other than that it's great. 3 stars because I didn't know this prior to using and it felt like it weighed 150lbs when I got it out of the water. Also glad I didn't go far with my kids could have been dangerous. Need to advertise the work that needs to be done prior to use.

Obviously a bit more…

Obviously a bit more difficult to handle to and from the water because of its length and weight, but once on the water this kayak is awesome. It is a great way for one adult to take two kids out paddling with plenty of room for all 3. My 7 and 9 year old love it and even with a combined total of 360 lbs of passengers, I have no trouble paddling and steering while my kids ride along and enjoy the scenery. It requires no more water to float than any similar 10' Sun Dolphin and handles incredibly well for its size. It is also incredibly stable even with two squirmy kids on board. I have also taken this kayak out solo and again it is nearly as nimble and easy to pilot as a 10' kayak. The 3 interior storage wells are very handy and while not water tight, the interior pouches keep contents from sliding around inside the kayak. This is a great kayak for anyone looking to take small kids out onto the water and would also be good for two adults wanting to share a single kayak with plenty of room for gear or a small child to tag along. I highly recommend it as a budget friendly multi-passenger kayak.
