This is a very solidly built kayak with excellent stability and very good tracking. It's not the most responsive kayak in rough conditions, but it feels predictable and secure. The storage hatches, when fitted, are large with plenty of space inside, but the rear tankwell is rather small and hard to reach from the seating position. The kayak is very comfortable, and I would recommend the optional footrests. It's difficult to manage off the water, with just one (very uncomfortable) handle. Also, the paddle keeper is situated in the exact spot to bash your knuckles when paddling!

For the money I personally don't think you can buy a better kayak if you want something to go out onto the sea or up to the lake district. I've paddled round South Stack in North Wales through rip currents in this and never been thrown out of it (even hitting the rip current at 90 degrees!). Have done many day trips covering 20 miles or so and there is more than enough room for storage. I also fish off this kayak both with a hand line as well as a rod and it handles both perfectly. It's light enough to be carried from the car to the water and because it's a sit on top if you did ever fall out you can climb back in without a problem! If you've got around £390.00 to spend then this should be your first choice!
