Coosa HD
Coosa HD Description
Jackson Kayak’s top design team once again teamed up with pro kayak angler Drew Gregory to put an “HD” twist to the already popular Coosa model. This ‘heavy duty’ fishing craft boasts amped up specs/features and is slightly longer and wider than the original Coosa; this makes it even more stable and a perfect fit for anglers of all sizes or those who are really looking for a stand up fishing kayak. The hull is still river friendly, but the HD will track truer on the flat waters of lakes or inshore saltwater. Packed with features, the Coosa HD is ready for any type of fish on almost any type of water!

The Jackson Coosa HD Kayak is…
The Jackson Coosa HD is…
The Jackson Coosa HD is ideal for flowing rivers with some rapids. It is stable enough to handle larger paddler, yet versatile enough to take rapids quite well. It is a little heavy, so some kind of kayak assist rack would be advisable. This is a good looking, solid, all around boat.
I've owned the Jackson Coosa…
I've owned the Jackson Coosa HD for 2 years now. Fish out of it regularly, mostly on small lakes & large ponds. I love the stability and maneuverability of the kayak. The seat is very comfortable & includes the lumbar support & small cooler bag conveniently placed on seat back. I have yet to attempt to fish any rivers, but look to soon. It is all I was looking for in a fishing kayak and more. Plenty of nice accessories for the fisherman. Rod tips are protected in the bow "tusks", drag chain channel in stern and plenty of storage space. Gear tracks, rod stagers, a spooling station console, fish grips, braid cutter and Ram ball rod holder came standard along with a GoPro goose neck & Solar Station ready accessories (which I have not used yet). I have rigged an anchor trolley, zig-zag cleat and added an Engel 19 dry box/cooler with rod holders in the tank well with room to spare for my anchor system and drift sock. It fits & transports easily in my short bed Silverado with my T-Bone bed extender. I use my bicycle tire canoe carrier to load, wheel and launch my kayak. If necessary, there is room behind tank well to store the carrier wheels with bungees. The only complaint I have is the Coosa HD's weight at 85+ pounds. So far I can still handle transport on my own, but it's definitely easier with a fishing buddy' help! All in all, it meets and exceeds my expectations for a fishing kayak. Mike (age 62) New Jersey
The best fishing boat that I…
The best fishing boat that I have ever been in, sits flat tracks true stable to stand in maneuvers well, it also has plenty of dry storage space that will keep 7-foot rods and all of your camp gear. A comfortable multi-position seat a removable center console which I customized to accommodate my battery and sonar there is much more but simply the best boat I have.

I bought my Jackson last…
This yak is my 3rd and is the best I've owned. I use it on the lakes for fishing and the rivers for relaxing. Best seat in the market and easy to stand in, in my experience two of the most important features for a fishing yak. I could go on and on. The simple fact is this yak is built for fishing by people who understand the needs of a kayak fisherman.
I love this kayak. It is very…
I am new to kayak fishing and…
My only reservation (the reason for my 9 instead of 10) is the weight and it's only a minor issue during loading, as I am an "older" fisherman.
