CCS Solo Canoe Cover

CCS Solo Canoe Cover Description

Wind, rain, or changing weather conditions, standing waves, or extended trips; these are all situations where a quality canoe cover can make the difference. More than just protecting your gear, a canoe cover will give you greater paddling control and efficiency due to less wind resistance. CCS has been creating custom canoe covers for about 25 years in a variety of styles to suit your needs. To help meet your needs, take time to reflect on the type of paddler you are and any specific situations you may encounter. For a list of boats CCS has already made skirts for and will not require a new pattern, see their website. Note of Warning: canoe covers are not for everyone! Canoe covers of any design can be life threatening if used without the proper training and practice exiting the skirt under controlled conditions.

I had Dan make me a custom…

Submitted by: beachcamper on 7/14/2015
I had Dan make me a custom spray deck for my solo canoe (Hemlock Kestrel) 7 years ago. It has withstood all these years without rips/tears. His workmanship is first class and I need gear that won't fall apart in a remote trip. I also have a tundra tarp that is older than the spray deck. Even in high winds it has not torn. If you need to rely on your equipment, you won't find a better made product.

This cover is great. Use it…

This cover is great. Use it all the time. I mostly do slow moving rivers. Have used it on some class 1-2 whitewater. Not what it was designed for. The cover is great in rain, wind, and cold weather. With the cockpit tube pulled all the up very warm. I use mine on a Wenonah Argosy. Royalex layup.
