This is my first review of my 14ft solo prospector, Kevlar duraflex hull with extra skid plate in front/rear, boat was ordered with gelcoat, factory rivet d-rings to black anodized trim and gunnel protectors, standard ash wood web seat, factory thigh pads. Its maiden voyage was down the Little River in Richmond county, North Carolina.
This was my first solo boat ordered straight from clippers plant in b.c. first impression was this thing is so nimble! every canoe stroke moved the boat(it will make me a better paddler). To me the boat has off the chart secondary stability, with good initial feel. After an hour I was comfortable. The boat doesn't come to life until moving water. We had very little rapids but what we did have made the boat more stable than flat water sections(to me). At the end we all paddled across the confluence of the peedee river and back, the boat did great. I will keep updating, it may be another month.
