Ouassou Description

The Ouassou is designed as a versatile and maneuverable kayak ideal for beach fun. The stern handles let you hang on and swim and allow easy access on board. The Ouassou also handles surf and waves comfortably. The ‘spatula’ shaped hull is derived from surf longboards and rodeo kayaks. The slight keel and lateral rail design provide directional stability and excellent tracking. The Ouassou’s optional knee-strap system also allows you to secure your body to the cockpit when you are looking for greater control in waves or whitewater.

The Ouassou is a fun kayak, very stable to the ocean, you can easily to surf on waves and correct you curses. you can handle l with one hand, but for flat water is not his environment is slow and generated a lot of drag due his design. This kayak was born to make you fun in sea or river with waves and surf....I definitely recommended as beginner kayak...I used on Mexico beach Veracruz.

This is an awesome kayak. It is designed as a kayak that you would take to the beach and surf in the waves and jump off with. The bottom is flat and curves up in the front, so it doesn't glide through the water which makes it hard to paddle long distances or in much wind. But it all depends on what you can do. i have taken it out on some of the windiest days this summer just to play in the whitecaps. it is very stable, you can stand up and jump off and easily get back in in deep water. this kayak is also designed for beginner rapids; I haven't tried it yet. if you want a kayak to go long distances on, this isn't the one, but if you just want a good kayak to play in and paddle around, this is perfect.
