I really wanted to like it.…

I really wanted to like it. It is so darned cute, little and convenient. First of all, I am NOT going to criticize it's performance. If you inflate it properly, it has a stiff bow and cuts thru the water admirably. I've read many reviews saying it was slow. Yes, if you compare it to a Eddyline hardshell, I guess it is. But as stated previously, if you inflate it right, it really goes at a pretty good clip for a little inflateable. Now here's the criticism. It's really UNCOMFORTABLE. It's supposedly designed for a smaller adult. I'm 5 ft. and 125 lbs. A little chubby but far from clinically obese. I could barely fit in the cockpit. I did use a inflateable seat, but it wasn't that big. You could stretch your legs out, but you couldn't bend then in any way as the coaming was in the way. Also the weird little pad that the company provides for a seat is just that, a little pad, There was no support for your back which is why I used a inflateable seat. At $250 it's a great deal if you are a very small skinny person, I think it would be best for a kid. It is a very safe stable craft, It would take a lot to tip it. It's also very durable construction, I would assume it will have a long life. So all in all, a bad buy for a larger person, but would be great one for a smaller person or a child. Had it been comfortable like my Advanced Elements Ultralite, I would have given it 5 stars.

I just love this inflatable kayak. It's so light that I can easily take it with me on a bus. It's small but really comfortable (I'm 5ft 8in) and very easy to set up. Maybe it is a little bit slow, but I go kayaking to relax, so I couldn't care less about the speed.

Great entry level kayak at very reasonable price. Easy to setup & store. Has a "military" style value for the 2 main chambers and a twist value for the floor which is easier to inflate by mouth. Stability is excellent. Tracking is surprisingly good with the small skeg. During take-down it is helpful to flip it around a few times to drain the seating area.

I absolutely LOVE this…

I absolutely LOVE this Firefly inflatable kayak. I was initially skeptical about the ease of inflating the boat and it's maneuverability on the water and have been so pleased that all my expectations were not only met, they were exceeded.

The materials and the craftsmanship is high quality. Best of all, I toss this boat in it's bag in my Miata (!), drive to the lake, and am on the water in no time at all. In addition to flat water, I've taken it on an easy river and it's so much fun. It turns on a dime. Of course it doesn't travel long distances as easily as my 12' hardshell, but this is a wonderful alternative when you don't have a roof rack and you want ease of transportation... or you simply want something fun with which to play around on the water.
