I bought my ATAK 120 used a few years back as a backup to my pedal kayak. I had not used it much until recently. I had motorized my pedal kayak and realized that the ATAK 120 was a perfect kayak for my Newport 3hp. I relocated the motor to the ATAK and it has been great. It's very stable, easy to paddle if necessary for Louisiana marsh fishing when not using the electric motor. The NK300 motor pushes the ATAK 120 about 6.5 to 7.0 mph with a light load, 6.5 mph when heavily loaded with fishing gear. This kayak has a fairly dry ride at 6 mph. The motor can be operated at about 80% power and still move this kayak about 6.0 mph, saving battery power for longer fishing runs. Since I am just recently using the ATAK as my primary fishing kayak, I am finding so many convenience features that have become a big advantage. The pod that holds my complete fishfinder and battery is incredible. The ATAK 120s continue to be sold in 2024 I believe, and in today's kayak fishing world of electric motors it might be worth considering as a lightweight alternative (86 lbs vs some newer kayaks over 150 lbs). I recommend highly the sturdy, middleweight ATAK 120!

I've owned my ATAK 120 for two years and it has been the best kayak for me. It's great for fishing, but is very useful for weekend trips, as well. They are fairly heavy, being a fishing kayak, but I can still load and unload it by myself with ease. Very stable on the water, as I often stand in it while fly fishing. Lots of storage space and dry storage areas. Glides through the water effortlessly. Highly recommend this kayak.
