Tippecanoe River SR 19 to Old Tip Town

A self-supported trip created by orthobill13

Trip Overview

Went in at the public access site on SR 19 and 10. Nice parking area. Left our pick up car at the public access site at Old Tip Town. Concrete ramp at both locations. The river in this area has so many trees down. There has been no clean up effort for the first few miles of this trip. Around the first bridge which is CR18, the river had been cleaned up and for the next couple of miles was a great trip. However shortly after the second time you cross CR18, lots of trees down again. The river is beautiful, virtually no other homes or buildings around, and lots of bird and fish sightings. However, we had to cross so many trees that it really was difficult and not as fun as it should have been.

Portage Notes

Lots and lots of trees down. Went over most of them, not around them as banks were often steep.
