Trip Overview
This is a good place for a nice relaxing paddle. The water is calm although not very clear when we went.
The Rocky Gorge Reservoir is maintained by WSSC and requires either a day permit ($5) or an annual permit ($60) to use. The permit gets you access to the other WSSC maintained areas like the Tridelphia Reservoir.
There were quite a few fisherman (on shore, in boats, and in kayaks) when we paddled however they don't allow gas powered boats so there are no large fishing boat wakes to contend with.
A good beginning paddle or for just a quiet day watching turtles sun bathe.
