Using my base in the town of Uncertain, Texas, I explored Caddo Lake and its environs over three days. Lots to see here and miles to paddle. Autumn here is gorgeous but I was a few weeks early. Lots of areas with invasive weed that the locals struggle with containing. There is a lot of local boat traffic along the wider channels, but still a lot of peaceful sloughs to seek out
