Parked at the boat ramp parking - however put-in was just west on the shoreline (no ramp fee if you don't use the ramp!).
We did get to see (and caught on the GoPro) - a sea-monster (Gar) fully breaching surface to the north of the put-in - out in the deep (53') area. Paddled to the island and explored - for a total round trip of about 3.1 miles
