Trip Overview

Georgia River Network's Paddle Georgia 2019 is a 7-day, 92-mile canoe/kayak/paddleboard adventure on the Withlacoochee and Suwannee rivers in Georgia and Florida suitable for all skill levels and all ages. The journey features daily paddle trips averaging 13 miles, nightly education and entertainment programs, on-river tours and education opportunities, catered meals and great camping. This year's route features surprising shoals, beautiful blackwater, Deep South scenery and breathtaking blue hole springs.

Safety Notes

Paddle Georgia employs multiple layers of safety to ensure the health of our participants, including stationing safety boats at all major obstacles, coordination with local emergency personnel, launch and take out site check ins, lead and sweep boats, and enhanced communication between organizers and participants.

Conditions

The Withlacoochee River includes Class I shoals, Expect high temperatures in the 90s and lows in the 70s. Afternoon rain and thundershowers are common.

Portage Notes

This route requires no portages under normal water levels.
