Launched at Crooked Lake in the Sylvania Wilderness Area of Ottawa National forest near Watersmeet, Michigan. Saw a loon family with the parents diving for fish and feeding two young chicks. Met a local guy who paddles there frequently and was knowledgable about the loons, gave us a lot of great info. Saw a number of bald eagles.
