- Somerset Reservoir in Vermont
Description
Beautiful lake to kayak. Really peaceful and quiet place. We spend 2-3 hours kayaking. Views of the peaks on one side and views of Stratton mountain ski slopes on the other side. Plenty of parking space. Two small islands in the reservoir to get off and stretch your legs if needed. Lots of birds. Small hike near the parking entrance. Road to the kayaking launch site is a dirt road and at times narrow enough that only one vehicle can pass. The site is well maintained. Must visit for kayak lovers!
