Description

Kentucky’s only 24-hour free ferry. This state-operated ferry transports vehicles across the Cumberland River at KY HWY 214/Turkey Neck Bend Road. Historically known as McMillan Ferry. There are launch points on both sides of the river, but the easiest access with parking is on the down river side where a large gravel lot and boat ramp were recently added. From Burkesville, boaters will cross the ferry and turn left at the old grocery store very soon after exiting the ferry. From Tompkinsville, boaters will turn right at the old grocery store before reaching the ferry.
