I have owned the Sound 9.5 for about 5 years now. This is my 6th or 7th yak and by far my favorite. I've owner bigger and faster yaks, but this is my "keeper". I'm almost 70 and can easily cartop this yak all over the place. I've customized it for me (fishing) - I've added some pad eyes, etc. but the biggest difference is using a 'surf to summit' seat with a backrest. I've been in the yak fishing for over 8 hours, and while I'm a bit stiff on getting out for a while - I've been reasonably comfortable. The selling feature for me is the light weight, fairly good glide/speed (not going to win a race but I've gone way over 10 miles in mine) and it's tough as nails. It is a dry ride, PLENTY of storage space etc., and while you can customize the built in holes to better accomodate your fishing rods - I use them as is. If I really want to pack a lot (I don't anymore) you can easily fit a milk crate in the rear section - customized to hold tackle, extra rods, lunch, drinks etc. I absolutely love this kayak. If you like to fish - this one is a good one.
