I purchased an Old Town Predator K111 new several years ago. I am larger...6 feet tall and 210 pounds. I had never used a kayak before. This has been an absolutely wonderful kayak to learn in, and use as a recreational kayak on Minnesota Lakes. It is very stable, and tracks well. The rod holder and other accessories I found to pretty meaningless...mostly because I was not planning on using it for fishing. My daughters both learned to kayak using this, as did my wife.
The seat is comfortable, and the footpegs adjust easily. I had this out on Leech Lake during a windstorm that had waves that were big enough that I couldn't see shore from between them, and it handled great. I would buy another in a heartbeat
