I got my 96 Blazer 16 Kevlar last year (used) in excellent condition. The build is very nice. It is fiberglass with some Kevlar hidden in there somewhere. It weighs in at 55 lbs. on my scale. The bow seat was way to far forward and the seats were cane.

I bought new nylon webbed seats and moved the bow seat about 12 inches back. What a difference! Now it paddles great, and is much more stable when my girlfriend and I go fishing. At 55 lbs. it is easy to car top and it is pretty fast on the water. I'm very happy with this canoe after the seat move.

My Kyook has been in my stable since early 1995. It was my first "Sea Kayak".
Mine is the Kyook Plus model that has both bulkheads and a rudder. The Kyook is 15 feet long and 25 inches wide. It has great initial stability and decent secondary stability. It is at home on flat water and pretty big waves and chop as well. I have surfed it plenty of times. It is not a fast boat by any means but will hold it's speed well. Tracking isn't bad but does require the rudder sometimes. I store my kayaks inside so the Kyook still looks brand new, even though it's 17 years old. Even the neoprene hatch undercovers are like new.

I'm 5' 8" tall and weigh 200 lbs and still have plenty of cockpit room. I could foam it in to fit like a glove like my Sirocco but I like the fact that I can move a bit for comfort and to fish or relax without bracing. Necky had some great plastic to still look as good as it does. I live in Western NY so all of our launch places are rock or concrete. No sandy beaches here. Thanks to the "old" Necky for making a great kayak!

I have a 2012 Ford Fiesta and a Current Designs Sirocco kayak. I can say that the standard Gull wings and 12" magnetic roller with carpet runner (to protect your car paint) work exactly as shown in their YouTube video. I'm very impressed and happy with Oak Orchard. The only thing I would add would be some sort of small cable lock from the base of the Gull Wing to wrap around your rack to keep them from getting stolen. I will add this feature myself because I don't trust anything that's not locked. 2 very quick wing nuts (30 seconds to remove) and someone else will be enjoying my Gull Wings. Except for that... Perfect product!

Twitchy, fast, and fun! That's how I describe my new Sirocco. I took it out this morning for a few hours to get to know it. It fits me like a glove. A few extra small pads here and there will make it perfect. It's longer by 1' 10" and 2" narrower than my other kayak (Necky Kyook, 15' by 25")and this makes it more like a jet fighter compared to a stable passenger plane. It took me almost 1/2 hour to get used to the twitchy, almost ready to tip over feeling but once I got used to it, WOW! What a ride.

I can do leaned turns and lean all the way over. I was never able to do that in my Necky Kyook as it was wider and didn't have that "secondary" stability that helps the kayak maintain it's stability when leaned over. I scored this 2010 model white Sirocco in brand new, never been in the water condition for $700.00! Now I can really learn what a kayak is capable of. I'm going to take rolling classes this winter so I'll really be ready to play hard next spring. I can't wait to take it out in some tasty waves on Lake Ontario and have some fun!
