On my 5th year as Arrow play…

    Submitted by: paddler889403 on 12/27/2023

On my 5th year as Arrow play mv owner I added the Rebel kayak Husky to our household “stable” which gives great chance to compare more thoroughly. The Husky is a greenlandstyle kayak which is longer and lower than the Play which gives it more trackability and speed. I have always felt I can go out in any conditions with the Play and this is accented when going from the Husky which has hard chines and a slight v-hull that offers less initial stability. Moving into the Play is like sitting down into a cozy TV-lounger, feels like nothing can knock you over. The Play is here to stay! @Admin: please, add Rebel kayaks to the review range as well.

Paddling some 2000 km during the last year and a half (summer/autumn/winter/spring) in lakes as well as east/west coast of Sweden with conditions ranging from serene moonlit flat water to rainy 12 ms wind and 1,5 m waves. The Arrow play is fun, agile and yet really stable and I am super satisfied with its performance. Skeg down it traces on rails and as I adjust it up the Arrow play becomes more an more playfull. Storage is enough although I haven’t done any week or longer tours yet, and can imagine that paclite is the keyword within reason for 4 days or more.

    The Arrow Play kayaks are…

    Submitted by: Engelbredt on 3/15/2021
The Arrow Play kayaks are created for playing in the waves and for sailing when there is foam on the wave tops. The kayaks respond direct and precisely to edging. And it is easy to steer. This kayak are designed to achieve great seaworthiness and easy handling on the water, which makes the kayaks just as suitable for the less experienced rower as for the very experienced. Arrow Play MV is a pleasure to row in waves and hard sea, which also makes it suitable as a everyday kayak, as a kayak for smaller trips and as a pure play kayak. It is build with big volume in the front so the nose wont dive when you surf on the waves. The back is low design so it is easy to roll in.

+ Superstable, easily manouverable and fun. Full spec. With 4 loading hatches for short and long tours. Outfitted with kajaksports detailing I.e. footrests, hatch lids and skeg setup. - while practicing self rescue small part of keyholerim cracked. After brief explanation at shop rim will be factory changed - no charge. Really happy with both kayak and shop/servicemindedness(taheoutdoor in Stockholm).
