This was my first contact with a kayak and has been amazing so far. I have no previous reference to compare with but I can say it is a very good for the intended purpose (recreation trips for two adults and a child). I have noticed one thing, against my expectation, it not so easy to keep direction with the wind blowing from aft, perhaps it is a general navigation issue. A rudder may help?

Purchased this year as our first family kayak, and so far its perfect for me, wife, and 3 year old. Our total weight plus gear is about 420lbs, and the kayak tracks and paddles well. The wheel system is very convenient for where we put in. I'm planning to add a hatch or two to increase cargo capacity, but the rear stowage is relatively adequate for beach picnics and the like. Although we were advised we could skip getting the child their own seat, we opted to do so and he really likes it. At 13'6" and 75lbs, this is a bigger kayak, so plan accordingly for loading and unloading. Overall we're really enjoying it!
