I bought this board so I could pack it away in my Prius V and not having to worry about strapping a board to the roof of my vehicle. For that it has been great. I just have one word of warning... Don't take it out into rough water. Took mine out into the main channel of a lake and it took a beating. Basically you have joints that act like hooks with the straps on top holding it all together. It's these joints where it locks together where my cracks started showing up due to the beating it took. Bought a plastic welder to try and repair the cracks, but I will never take it out in rough water like that again.
Once I repair the cracks and it no longer leaks, I'll be back to enjoying it again. Just can't paddle everywhere I'd like to.
As someone said the cup holders and dry storage is an awesome feature of this paddleboard. Where you stand is pretty much hollow, so I wonder how long the plastic will stand up the the stress over time. There is a channel down the middle that provides additional support for weight, but you'll still feel the deck give a little under your feet.
Another downside is that it is a bit heavier than some one piece boards that I've looked at so it can be a little slower. But I do find it to be quite a stable board. The retractable blade is nice in shallow water of with underwater debris. So you don't get thrown off when you board suddenly stops due to hitting bottom or logs underwater. Of course it is a unique blade so if it breaks, a replacement might be difficult. There is a hole in the blade for a tiny plastic rod to go through to protect the blade during transport, unfortunately the one that came with the board broke so I'm gonna have to rig up something else to keep the blade stowed for transport.
It's actually a great SUP board if you don't care too much about speed. The main take away for me is to keep it away from big waves and rough water, as it puts too much stress on the joints and could cause them to crack and take on water.
