I bought my bounty 100 angler yesterday and took it on an 8 hour trip down two creeks and eventually the San Jacinto river. I am 6'2" 200 lbs. I had pleeeenty of room in this kayak and didn't even come close to maxing it out. Even with 45 lbs in the rear storage. It tracks great. Even in the river at decent water speeds. The foot braces and thigh pads were great. The paddle rest is amazing. The dry well in the front works excellently. Keeping all my valuables dry for the whole 8 hours. All in all, great kayak for anyone experienced or not. Buy it.

The Bounty Angler is a stable, easy paddling kayak. I don't think it would be the ideal fishing kayak, but it comes equipped with a swivel rod holder and two fishing pole wells on the stern. The rod holder was missing from mine but the nice people at Pelican sent me one. The storage hatch in the bow has a nice latch and keeps your wallet, keys and cell phone dry. There is no room on the stern area for a milk crate, which many kayak fishermen favor. For the occasional angler who spends most of their time on the water just enjoying the solitude of a quiet river, it's a great choice.

This was my first kayak purchase. Took it out for the first time and was surprised how stable it was paddling up stream at our local river. Seemed to track well and paddled easily. Will edit after a few more floats.

Very good kayak for the money. Good control in faster water than most in it's class, lots of room and storage. Rod holders are placed well. Very sturdy kayak.

I just purchased the Pelican Bounty 100 Angler Kayak from Academy. This is my first kayak and so far I am very pleased with it. I am 6' and 230 lbs and was not cramped when I took it out for the first time at Big Sugar Creek in MO. It tracked much better than expected and was easy to paddle up and down stream.
