I own a 14'Fiberglass Mohawk…
I own a 14'Fiberglass Mohawk Canoe which I believe has been discontinued. It has a HIN number on it and a decal that said Mohawk and made in Florida. It had two cracked ribs and holes in the keel. With a little fiberglass repair kit, resin and cloth it is like new and tough as nails. If they make them any where as good as they did back then, BUY ONE!

I have not paddled this a lot, but i have taken mine out several times. For a 16' boat with two people, 4 days worth of gear, and one dog it was really nimble to manuever through some technical water. It also tracked well in flatwater lake situations, crossing Jenny Lake, WY with a bit of work. I added NRS floatation to give it some added bouyancy that I hope to test out next summer. I'm not impressed with the flimsy seats and cross braces that attach to the gunwales, but ain't life grand when your boating.

This high-sided, high rockered boat is suited for serious whitewater. Royalex. Floatation consists of bow and stern air bags plus 2" ethafoam port and starboard amidships. The boat is high volume and heavy: handling qualities are quite responsive but not nimble.
