I bought my Mission 100 at Costco in March of 2020 and have nothing but great things to say about it. I recognize it is a hybrid, not a true touring kayak for long miles on lakes or ocean trips, but I have paddled 10 miles in a day on flatwater with no problem. Extremely stable, tracks very well, and high load capacity and comfort all great for me as bigger guy (6' and 215 lbs). I have taken it down and through class 2+ river runs with no capsizing or instability; only drawback is the large open cockpit does take on water through waves (and Pelican does not appear to make/offer a spray skirt to fit this model; I bought one online that kind of fits, but you won't find a fully watertight skirt so take care in big waves/surf).

Purchased at Costco, just spent 4 hours taking it out last week. My favorite thing about this kayak is its simplicity. I've owned longer and heavier ones that do glide nicely on the water but are difficult to transport. I purchased this one for the size. Very comfortable to sit in, never got soar. Easy to use the foot pegs, and light (approx 40lbs) easy to transport! It also tended to glide nicely and because of the lighter weight, very easy to paddle. The only downside, after my ride while washing it out, it was full of small plastic pellets throughout the kayak, I assume from manufacturing. I cleaned up most but they keep appearing. A small annoyance. It's a great little kayak, love the color, just drop it in the back of my truck, tie it down and done. Simplicity is key. Thanks!

I bought this kayak last year from Costco on an impulse, having never owned a kayak or canoe before. It is a great little kayak and I don't know why more experienced paddlers look down on them. I've put several hundred kilometres on mine, in rivers and creeks and small lakes. It's light, durable and stable, and has been a dream to learn on. I can load it on the roof of my SUV by myself, and I've dropped it and dragged it and done all manner of injustices to it as I learned how to be a kayaker, and it has taken the abuse without complaint. In looking to upgrade, I tried several more expensive rec kayaks and just didn't find enough of a difference to spend several hundred dollars more.

If I could give the manufacturer 0 stars I would and negative stars for customer service. Purchased this from Costco about a month ago. When I opened the box, I realized that seat was not installed properly and there was a sharp screw sticking out making it unusable. It was also full of plastic shavings. So much so that I had to vacuum it out. I emailed Pelican three times over a three week period regarding the seat. They finally responded and told me they were sending me a hardware kit to repair the seat and that I needed a rivet gun to install. Really! This is going back to Costco. Going to check out a different manufacturer.
