Delta V 88 Description

With this model, Liquidlogic created a creek boat that will behave very well in any situation. The paddler will get the feeling that the DELTA V is taking care of them while on the water. With soft edges, smooth Braaap inspired rocker and a shorter platform, the DELTA V allows the paddler to go anywhere their intended line takes them. The Delta V also features a unique stern “Turbo Booster” design which accelerates the kayak forward when engaged after a drop. Combine this with the nimble and intuitive feel which allows the boat to make difficult maneuvers seem effortless and you have one powerful design. Simply put, this creek boat will have entry level paddlers falling in love with it immediately, and top paddlers choosing it every time they are pushing the boundaries of the sport.

Pleasantly surprised

So I finally bought my Delta V...I usually ride a Dagger Mamba ,and don't get me wrong I still love it, it's not going anywhere.
But...I had a chance to run my New Delta V on the Green today , all I can really say is that I had a smile on my face the whole day. Very glad that I pulled the trigger on this boat!
It handled whatever I threw at it , it was like driving a sports car. The harder I pushed it the happier it got. Thanks Liquid Logic, I was happy to buy local and think it's was well worth it.

Old reliable

I've had the DeltaV for about a month now in Colorado. First time out I brought it to Castle Creek, a tight, fun IV boulder garden style run that leads into the Slaughterhouse section of the Roaring Fork (arguably the best class IV run in CO...). Pretty good testing grounds, you start off in a tight narrow creek, then end up on a high volume run, with holes and pour-overs galore to boof and punch. That being said, the DeltaV was AWESOME!!! I has an added level of "security" to it, you take a late boof, have a less than stellar angle, or misjudge the rock you are spinning on and flop into the hole with no speed, the Delta takes care of you. The width was great to help keep you feeling stable through things, but not too wide where you feel like its a barge. Overall super fun boat, its definitely a confidence boosting boat to push yourself a little bit past your comfort zone.

One small gripe, foot room... at 6'3", with a 34" inseam and size 13 shoes, it is uncomfortable. I have cut a heel notch and that has given some slight comfort, but its still a bit tight down there...

All in all, great job Pat!

The trusty steed

I like to say that the new 9 ft race creek boats are the wild stallions that you attempt to tame and make yours. They are very high performance with a wild unpredictability at times. The Delta V is the horse you grew up riding. It knows how you ride and it always knows your next move. Outrageously predictable and maneuverable. This is the boat I want when I'm looking at a horizon line.

Fast and loose

The hull lets you power through holes and steer your exit at the same time. At the same time the boat is very loose on a ferry and will zip across the river before you know it. I'm moving up from a Stomper 80 and like the extra volume and speed. The higher volume stern keeps the boat flatter when it gets busy.
