Overall this product seems to work well. I just used it on a recent 60 mile round trip paddle to Catalina Island, and it did the job. What I really like is that it is all foam, so it won’t start leaking air like other lumbar supports. With that said, I wish that the foam pad was a little thicker so that it would provide a little more support. Now that I have used it for awhile, I would say that I am happy overall with the product.

bought a Yakpad gel cushion for my canoe seat because sometimes we are on the water up to 8hrs. and that can cause some big time pain on the rear. I really liked it and used it all last year and was impressed how well it worked. Alas, took it off my canoe to wash it and left it on my porch to dry overnight and someone stole it. Guess they felt they needed it worse than I did. But, I will get me another because they work so good.

I recently purchased a Yak Gear Sand dollar seat cushion. I spend many hours at a time on my SOT kayak, which can get uncomfortable. The Sand Dollar cushion proved to be the solution. I use it to supplement the original kayak seat and after four or five hours of sitting, it is extremely comfortable. At a cost of 27 dollars, it is well worth the investment.

My usual kayak trip is about six hours in length. That is a long time sitting in a kayak - especially for a 65 year old woman! The Yakpads seat cushion is a great complement to a regular kayak seat. Two thumbs up!
