Launched at Dixon Fields Canoe Launch on the White Oak River and paddled upstream and back. A perfect autumn day, warm sunshine and blue sky. Very little current made an easy paddle. This stretch of river seemed wild, only one or two houses set back from the riverside. Beautiful bald cypress trees along the bank. Saw a copperhead lying in the gravel access road on the way in.
