The water was shallow and we were told that vit was 3 hour float and "the best" to launch from. It had a lot of fallen trees and shallow areas we had to get out and walk a good bit of this river. Got out at Broad St in a little over 2 hours. I recommend Horseshoe Bend but this site can be muddy, crowded, a lot of garbage on the ground, but the take out is within walking distance back to your vehicle. It's a 1-2 hour float around the bend. Shallow water and most people tube here. No parking fee. On busy summer days parking spots are rare.
Safety Notes
Steep launch, can become slippery and eroded. Take out at Liner Rd bridge can be a pain. Steep eroded, slippery, and muddy mess.
