Trip Overview

Stonecoal Lake is a small lake with a 9.9 hp motor limit. Most summer and winter days there are very few boats on the lake. Evenings are best.

Lake is about 3 miles long and half mile wide in most places. Surrounded by woods, it is a very clean lake. No roads near the lake keep it peaceful and quiet.

There are two put-ins on the lake. One on eaither end. This is a deep, green lake. Fishing is good. Trout stocked by local club in the spring. State record musky caught here several years ago.

Porta potty at the public launch on west end of the lake. Jerry's has food, bait, toilets also.

No fees nor permits required.

2 miles outside of Weston on Rt 33 East. Turn right on Georgetown Road and go 3 miles to Jerry's Sporting Goods. Turn sharp left at Jerry's. Launch is half mile past
