Trip Overview
Stonecoal Lake is a small lake with a 9.9 hp motor limit. Most summer and winter days there are very few boats on the lake. Evenings are best.
Lake is about 3 miles long and half mile wide in most places. Surrounded by woods, it is a very clean lake. No roads near the lake keep it peaceful and quiet.
There are two put-ins on the lake. One on eaither end. This is a deep, green lake. Fishing is good. Trout stocked by local club in the spring. State record musky caught here several years ago.
Accommodations:
Porta potty at the public launch on west end of the lake. Jerry's has food, bait, toilets also.
Fees:
No fees nor permits required.
Directions:
2 miles outside of Weston on Rt 33 East. Turn right on Georgetown Road and go 3 miles to Jerry's Sporting Goods. Turn sharp left at Jerry's. Launch is half mile past
