Trip Overview
Paint Creek (Lake) is a wonderful place to paddle the flatwater and see some neat sights. It sits on a glacial escarpment which provides some breathtaking limestone walls and cliffs (compared to the rest of the area.)
You definitely want to get close to paint creek and paddle up the creek, as the "open" area of the lake is not scenic and is full of powerboats.

Fees:
none
Directions:
From Hillboro, OH, travel east on US 50 and turn left on Route 753 (appx 10 miles outside of Hillsboro.) Stay on 753, just before you cross the lake on a bridge there is a marked access road to the right. There are several boat ramps but we found this one to be the closest to the inlet creek without going to the other side of the lake.
