Trip Overview

Trip began in Evart, Michigan. Along the way I saw two Bald Eagles and numerous deer. The river flows about 4-5 miles per hour and is shallow in most places. The total distance is about 25 miles from Evart to Big Rapids and can be completed in as little as five hours if paddled at a steady pace. This would be a good family trip so take a lunch and you can stop at Paris Park for a picnic. The scenery is beautiful.

Accommodations:

Toilets and picnic tables at all parks along the way.

Directions:

Launches:

Starting Point is Riverside park in Evart, MI.

Ending point is North End Park in Big Rapids, MI.
