La Jolla Cove in California

Trip Overview

Witness the abundant wildlife and amazing views. Not only can you kayak up to the caves at La Jolla Shores, but you may also witness dolphins swimming along side you as well as sea lions, leopard sharks (they are harmless), and Garibaldi (our State Fish) to name a few. The view from your kayak will include Mount Soledad to the East, the bluffs of Torrey Pines State Reserve to the North and La Jolla Cove to the South.

Hotel La Jolla is a super hotel with amazing views, which is very close to La Jolla Shores.

Fees:

Not that I know of...unless this is a commercial trip.

Directions:

Take 5 Freeway, exit La Jolla Village Drive. Go west off the exit. turn left onto Torrey Pines Rd. Turn right onto La Jolla Shores. Turn left onto Avenida de la Playa. Avenida de la Playa ENDS at the beach and kayak launch for this trip! Just park on any of the side streets.
