Catawba River: Lake Wylie Dam to Catawba Indian Reservation

A self-supported trip created by timharrisjr

Trip Overview

Good water. Lots of birds. Hundreds of folks floating on tubes from Lake Wylie Dam to River Park. Class I rapids at intervals along the way. Great scenery. You have no idea that you're paddling through residential areas. Past Rock Hill, there were a good number of folks fishing. All said that they were catching fish.

Conditions

Gorgeous day. 90F, low humidity.
