Possible trip plan: Put in and take out at the north shore beach area Familiarize Shawn with kayaking basics Set out east towards Cranberry Marsh. Docks are along north center edge of island containing the nature preserve in case we want to tie up and walk around the preserve. Row around south side of preserve. Row back to north shore beach area to load up.
Alternate: (Would about double paddling time?) If we want a longer trip, after rowing around the preserve, we can go back east rowing between the preserve and north shore of the lake and continue on to Maple Bay. Not sure of bay depth or depths headed south from eastern edge of bay. May be too shallow for kayaks. We may have to gauge and maybe turn back.
