Nestled in a cluster of houses in a small Sammamish WA neighborhood is Beaver Lake. The large public park has boat access, fields, playgorund, and offers scenic views and fishing. We dropped our kayaks at the shore, loaded gear and donned our boots and pfds in the lamplight. for over an hour we soaked in the serenity and quiet of the glass like water and paddled the entire length in the dark. An occasional bark and the dip of our paddles was the only sound. the glow of the lights from porches and through windows was pretty. we also took the channel to the lower lake which is bordered on one side by a park. We had our red headlamps on with vest lights also ready. A couple of residents noticed us plying the waters with one disgruntled man surprised to see 2 guys along his backyard border. overall a neat night paddle!
