- Weber Creek Rd. Access
Description
This is a very secluded access point for Lee Creek. There are 2 ways to this spot: 1. Northeast of Sallisaw, north of Muldrow/Roland is a road called Hwy 101. Follow that road east to Lee Creek. One of the roads south will be Webber Creek Road on the east side of the Lee Creek /101 bridge. Eventually that road will cross Weber Creek. 2. From the I-40 mike market 3, in Arkansas, near Van Buren. From the exit to the northwest find a road called Pine Hollow Rd. A road that runs back to the west will be Webber Creek Rd. Same road as in Oklahoma. Notes: Download a map prior. There is no cell service. Have GPS. The road is better from the Arkansas Side. That’s my preference. I drive a 2 wheel drive and can make it both ways. If it has rained recently it would be a go-go from me. Dry and it’s perfectly fine. This Webber Creek Rd. is an old wagon road. It’s not changed much since then. It runs across Webber Creek. There is no bridge. You cross the grave bar. The gravel is packed pretty good. Remember: No cell service. You can park on the gravel bar and drag south about 50yds to Lee Creek down Webber Creek. You can also drive, if properly equipped, on several trails to Lee Creek. This is a very secluded float. There are no roads to it. There are no houses. There are no crossings. There is no cell service. Further down the float cell service becomes intermittent. Be prepared. The takeout point will be the boat ramp on Lee Creek Reservoir Recreation area off Pine Hollow Rd. Float: Caught a lot of species of bass and sunfish. The upper part has some class 1 rapids. Very novice. Many gravel bars. Large old growth timber. A lot of wildlife. A wide deep lumbering River on the lower part that give way to still more shallow water as you get into the lake. One of the most beautiful floats I have done.
