Description

Car park next to the put in point is free for weekends and bank holidays and £1.50 per day at other times (at time of writing). This point provides easy access to the Hopwas loop (8 miles). Downstream via the first weir (canoe chute at the left) to Hopwas woods (for a portage to the canal), then left on the Coventry canal for a few miles (no locks) until arriving at the canal aqueduct which crosses the river Tame. Get out here, down some steps and find a place to get into the Tame again for a downhill paddle to the start point.
