Description

Massabesic Lake is the water supply for Manchester, NH. As such it doesn't allow body contact with the water. Paddle Boards and swimming are expressly prohibited. The shoreline is essentially undeveloped though there are a few cottages on the NE side of the east section. A circuit of the portion of the lake that lies E of NH 28 is about 10 miles. You can access the western portion of the lake under a bridge on NH 28 but about half of that portion is bouyed off around the water treatment intake. Motorboats and sailboats are allowed on the lake so be aware.
