Park in the layby, follow path north into trees and then left to riverbank - muddy access point. River is flat due to Cardiff Bay barrage so nice easy sade paddling. Beautiful stretch of river downstream only diminished by constant traffic noise (better on an early morning summer paddle). Can paddle down to Dunleavy Drive or turn around and come back. If paddling all the way to the Bay then permit required from Channel View Leisure Centre.
