Glorietta Bay

San Diego Bay

Description

Great launch point for a paddle around Glorietta Bay. Or for amazing views and amenities, head north to cross Glorietta Bay, paddle under the Coronado Bridge, and continue north just past the Coronado Ferry Landing (third dock). You can beach here and visit the restrooms, get some coffee or a bite to eat, and people watch before you head back to your launch point. Recommend an early start, and plan to head back south with the tide, which helps a lot with the southwest winds that kick up around 10 AM. Note: There is a 15 min. parking spot next to the launch ramp where you can unload your craft and gear. Parking can be a bit challenging on the weekends, but should not be a problem if you get there early.
