Boca Reservoir

Boca Reservoir

Description

The Boca Reservoir is an artificial lake created by the Boca Dam which blocks the Little Truckee River downstream (south) of Stampede Reservoir and Prosser Creek Reservoir. It is 1.9 miles (3 km) long by 0.93 miles (1.5 km) wide with a surface area of 1.5 square miles (4 square km) and located at an elevation of 5,614 ft (1,711 km).

It is a small reservoir surrounded by campsites. A paved road circles most of the reservoir, but the northwest quarter is served by a dirt road. A main paved launch ramp is available, but is currently above the water line. Vehicle access is available on the dirt down to the water line, and two other informal dirt launches are also available on the reservoir.
