I'm a novice with regard to kayaking, however I've used 5 different kayaks this last summer and my favorite by far is the Remix xp10 by liquid logic. It tracks quite well with the stern down, and when you flip it up and can maneuver through rapids easily (only have done class 3). The hatch stays dry and is easy to use. It's an amazing boat.
Got this seat to replace a seat that had a lower back. This seat is much more comfortable and makes longer trips more enjoyable. I think if it went up maybe 2 more inches, it would be a 9. I can't really relax into it still, but it is a really good seat and I would recommend it.
