I paddled this boat in Charleston also with the xp, the X-ray is little beamer(wider) and better boat for the masses @16.'9" it is good length. It is the only boat that had rudder and skeg option together. Tracking was great, fit and finsh was superb. price is right starting at about $500 less than most other composit models. The boats are really well thought out. the down side looks like they are hard to find in the usa though., maybe it will get better.
